This is our 65th Anniversary year. We celebrated with a very special Summer concert and a delightful garden party. Sir John Rutter rehearsed and conducted us in his new song cycle, Dancing Tree. We all gained from his charismatic leadership. It was a great privilege that he was happy to come to us.
VIDEO-2026-07-20-14-21-21.mp4The concert included works by Mendelssohn and Vivaldi under the baton of our Musical Director Dominic Wells, as well as a Debussy harp solo played by Gwenllian Llyr. We welcomed the return of soprano Eleanor Parsons and alto Natalie Robinson, and were delighted by a stellar performance of the treble solo in the Mendelssohn from 8-year-old William Wells. Phoebe Tak Man Chow played the organ with her usual expertise.
The garden party was significant for outstanding catering provided by members, and for entertainment from the Mount Adon Quartet followed by light-hearted contributions from Chorale members. Everyone crowded into the shade!
